HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Kenny Eiser '04 (Central Bucks West/Doylestown), a recent Juniata graduate and former member of the Juniata College men's volleyball team, is one of seven people featured in Faces in the Crowd in the June 14th issue of Sports Illustrated available on newsstands today.

Eiser capped his Eagle career by earning the first-ever American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III National Player of the Year award. He also earned second-team EIVA All-East recognition and was an EIVA Division III All-Star for the third time in his career. He was chosen as the MVP of the Molten Division III Championship Tournament, and was named AVCA/Sports Imports Division III player of the week during the season. Eiser ranked first on the team in hitting percentage with a mark of .472 and finished second on the team in kills. He also wrapped up the year second on the team with 93 blocks. Eiser closes his career with 367 blocks, ranking him second in school history.

Juniata finished one of the finest seasons in the program's history with a record of 18-7. The Eagles claimed the Molten Division III Championship for just the second time in school history, and also earned the EIVA Division III Championship for the second-consecutive season. Juniata advanced to the semifinals of the EIVA Tournament for just the second time in school history, and fell just one game shy of reaching the EIVA Championship match for the first time. Juniata placed three players on the EIVA All-East team, the most in the history of the men's volleyball team. The Eagles were 8-6 on the season against Division I-II opponents, including victories over perennial eastern powers George Mason and Princeton.
