Huntingdon, PA - After closing the regular season with a 30-3 record and climbing to the top of the AVCA/CSTV Division III Poll, the Juniata College women's volleyball team placed four players on the Commonwealth Conference All-Conference team, as voted by the league's eight head coaches. Carli Dale (Cochranton/Cochranton) was named the conference player of the year for the second time in as many seasons, while Juniata Head Coach Larry Bock was named the conference coach of the year. Along with Dale, Katie Laucks (West York/York) was named to the All-Conference first team, while Kines, and Katie Charles (Manheim Township/Lancaster) were tabbed as second-team All-Conference players.

Dale captures her fourth All-Conference selection in her senior season, and becomes just the second player since 1994 to earn conference player of the year honors in back-to-back seasons. She piled up exactly 1,400 assists during the regular season, giving her more than 6,000 assists for her career. She also ranks first on the team in digs with 365. A two-time All-American Dale was chosen as the AVCA Division III player of the week on one occasion during the year, and was the Commonwealth Volleyball Player of the Week on two occasions. She leads the conference in assists per game, and ranks second all-time at Juniata in career assists and ranks in the top-five in NCAA Division III history in career assists.

Laucks earns All-Conference recognition for the third time in her career, while grabbing her second first-team honor. Lauck ranked second on the Juniata team in kills, finishing the regular season with 323 finishes. She also posted a team-high 67 aces on the year while ranking second on the squad with 72 blocks and a .399 hitting percentage. A first-team All-American last season, Laucks was named the Commonwealth Volleyball Player of the Week once in 2004 and moved past the 1,000 kill mark for her career this season. Her .399 hitting percentage ranked 14th in the NCAA Division III statistics report released October 24.

After earning AVCA Mid-Atlantic Region and Commonwealth Freshman of the Year honors in 2003, Kines has picked up right where she left off this season. She led Juniata with 339 kills during the regular season, posting 3.57 kills per game. Her attack percentage of .451 leads the both the team and conference, and ranks second in NCAA Division III. She is first on the Eagles with 81 blocks during the regular campaign and is averaging .85 blocks per game. She posted a season-best 23 kills in Juniata's second match of the year, and topped the 20-kill mark on one other occasion. Kines was tabbed as the Commonwealth Volleyball Player of the Week twice during the year and finished second in the conference in kills per game.

Charles captures second-team All-Conference honors for the second-consecutive season. The senior opposite finished third on the team in kills during the regular season, piling up 211 finishes with a .355 attack percentage. She added 69 digs along with 34 blocks, which ranked fourth on the Eagle squad. Charles reached double figures in kills seven times in 2004, with her season-high of 21 coming against nationally ranked Carnegie Mellon. Charles was an All-Region selection in 2003 and has notched 833 kills for her career.

Juniata boasts a record of 31-3 after earning a victory in the Commonwealth Conference Tournament Semifinal match Wednesday night. The Eagles will now look to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament when they play in the Commonwealth Conference Championship match on Saturday. Juniata will be attempting to earn its 24th-consecutive conference title, and trip to the NCAA Tournament.
