HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College Jazz Band will perform an outdoor concert at 11:45 a.m., Friday, April 22 in Detwiler Plaza outside the Kennedy Sports and Recreation Center on the Juniata campus.

The concert is free and open to the public. In case of rain the concert will move to the ballroom of Ellis College Center. Concertgoers can bring lawnchairs or blankets.

The Juniata music department also will present its spring Honors Recital at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 23 at the Stone Church of the Brethren. Five Juniata students will perform.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The five Juniata students are: Christopher Gass, a freshman snare drummer from Newark, Del.; Erica Rhodes, a junior flutist from Huntingdon, Pa.; Christopher Ree, a freshman cellist from Copake, N.Y.; Vicki Schellburg, a junior pianist from Hollidaysburg, Pa.; and Takahito Matsuyama, a pianist and international student from Sapporo, Japan.
