Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College women's volleyball coach and director of athletics Larry Bock has been selected as one of the GeneralSports TURF Systems AD of the Year. Bock received the honor in the Division III category from the central region. Bock was one of 25 honorees chosen among all divisions as selected by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).

Bock has served as the Juniata College women's volleyball coach since 1977 and assumed the athletics director role in July of 1995. He helps lead an athletic department that features 19 intercollegiate varsity sports while amassing one of the most impressive coaching resumes in collegiate sports.

As coach of the women's volleyball program he has compiled a career record of 1,032-196 which makes him the winningest coach in NCAA women's volleyball. He is a four-time American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Division III Coach of the Year, with the most recent honor coming in 2004 when he guided Juniata to its first-ever National Championship. He was a member of the inaugural class of the AVCA Hall of Fame and is also a member of the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He has helped 29 players earn AVCA All-America honors during his coaching tenure which is the most of any program.

Bock has helped oversee an athletic department that enjoyed one of its finest seasons in the 2004-05 academic year. Along with the women's volleyball national championship, the Juniata men's volleyball team captured its second-consecutive Molten Division III National Invitational Championship. The Juniata field hockey team earned the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament bid. The Juniata women's swimming team placed third at the MAC Championships, matching the highest finish in the program's history, and the Eagles baseball team claimed a spot in the Commonwealth Conference postseason for the second-consecutive year. Juniata had 11 players claim All-America honors this past year, including the Division III national players of the year in both men's and women's volleyball. The Eagles also saw 16 athletes claim All-Region laurels over the past year.

Juniata athletes have also excelled academically this past year under Bock's guidance. The Eagles had four athletes claim ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors this past year, with several more still eligible for the honor. Eleven student-athletes captured Academic All-District recognition this past season, the most Juniata has earned in one academic year. Juniata also earned 87 spots on the seasonal MASCAC academic honor roll teams over the course of the year.
