Juniata 3, West Georgia 0 Juniata 3, Emory 0 ATLANTA, Ga. - The Juniata College women\'s volleyball team insured that it would head into the postseason with a great deal of momentum as the Eagles claimed a pair of 3-0 victories in its final regular season matches Saturday in Atlanta, Ga. Juniata topped West Georgia University 30-18, 30-22 and 30-24 and then bested 12th-ranked Emory University 30-28, 30-19, 30-20. The win over Emory was the top-ranked Eagles\' sixth victory this season over a nationally-ranked foe. Juniata\'s defense was solid throughout the day, particularly at the net as the Eagles posted solid blocking numbers in each match. Offensively in Juniata\'s win over West Georgia, Stephanie Kines (Towson/Towson, Md.) finished with eight kills while Paige Johnston (Hempfield/Lancaster) and Michelle Morchesky (Hempfield/Greensburg) each added seven. Kines also led Juniata\'s blocking effort as she finished with four blocks, as did Erin Albert (Philipsburg-Osceola/Philipsburg). Megan Sollenberger (Cumberland Valley/Mechanicsburg) brought up a team-best 11 digs, while Beth Kozak (Huntingdon/Huntingdon) contributed seven. Kines and Jessica Ritchey (Greencastle-Antrim/Greencastle) both had three services aces for Juniata in the match. In the win over Emory Amber Thomas (Conestoga Valley/Ephrata) paced the team with 12 finishes. Rachael Schatz (West Perry/Elliotsburg) finished with seven kills, while Kines also had seven. Kines was again big at the net defensively for the Blue and Gold as she recorded eight total blocks in the match. Schatz added three blocks as well for the Eagles. Sollenberger once again was tops in digs with 16, while Kozak and Thomas both had 12. Albert paced the squad with three aces, with Kozak chipping in two. Juniata gets back in action on Wednesday as the Eagles host Lebanon Valley in the Commonwealth Conference postseason semifinal match. ###
