TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Juniata College senior track and field athlete Randy Anderson (DuBois/DuBois) ran the fastest time of his career and has advanced to the finals of the 55-meter dash at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. Competing in the prelims on Friday Anderson posted a time of 6.39 to place second in the second heat. He enters Saturday\'s championship heat tied for the second seed as his time of 6.37 was .02 behind the fastest time of the day. The finals of the 55-meter dash will be held at approximately 2:35 p.m. on Saturday. His time of 6.39 was the fastest of his career in the 55-meter dash, .03 seconds faster than the MAC-record time he posted in winning the MAC Championships two weekends ago. Anderson is looking to become the first Juniata male track and field All-American since the 2002 outdoor track season. He would be just the fourth Juniata male track performer to earn All-America honors. By advancing to the finals, Anderson needs to just finish the championship race on Saturday to earn All-America recognition. ###
