EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Juniata College men\'s volleyball team\'s goal for a top seed for the EIVA postseason took a hit Tuesday evening as the Eagles dropped a 3-0 decision on the road against EIVA Tait Division foe East Stroudsburg. The loss dropped Juniata out of fourth place in the conference standings, where the top four teams will earn a first-round bye in the conference play-offs. Juniata fell to 13-7 overall and 5-6 in the Tait Division. East Stroudsburg improved its overall mark to 9-9 and 4-5 in the conference. The Eagles dropped the first two games by narrow 31-29 margins before falling 30-16 in game three. Juniata led 29-28 in game two and was serving with a chance to tie the match at one game apiece, but the Warriors reeled off three-straight points to earn the win and seize the momentum in the match. Statistics for the match were not available Tuesday night. The Eagles will return to action on Saturday when they host Springfield College in the EIVA Division III Championship. Juniata will be trying to win the EIVA Division III Championship for the fifth-consecutive season. ###
