OSHKOSH, Wis. - Juniata College junior track and field athlete Kyle Mazur (Morris Catholic/Ogdensburg, N.J.) earned All-America honors by placing in the top eight in the javelin on the final day of competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track And Field Championships. Mazur placed sixth in the javelin competition to earn All-America status for the first time in his career. He reached the finals and then unleashed his top throw of the day on his second throw. In wet and windy conditions he posted a best toss of 57.83 meters or 189\' 8\". He was 13 inches behind the fifth-place finisher. Joel Krebs of George Fox University won the javelin event with a throw of 60.57 meters. Mazur was competing at the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time in his career and he became the fifth men\'s track and field athlete in Juniata history, and the second this season to earn All-America recognition. And he\'s the second outdoor track and field All-American since the 2002 season. Mazur was the first male athlete to compete at the NCAA Outdoor Championships since the 2003 season. Mazur is the 10th Juniata athlete to earn All-America status from the 2006-07 academic year. ###
