HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Sophomore Andrew Steffen (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) scored six minutes and 45 seconds into overtime to lift Juniata College to a 2-1 win over Keystone College, in men\'s soccer action Wednesday afternoon in La Plume, Pa. Steffen played a ball past Keystone keeper Ryan Wagner and into the left side of the goal, off a through-ball into the 18-yard box from Jordan McGowan (Millerstown, Pa./Greenwood) on the right side. Steffen was responsible for all Juniata\'s scoring against the Giants. He gave Juniata a 1-0 lead in the game\'s 13th minute, settling a crossing pass from Chris Engle (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) off his chest and then scoring into the left corner from 15 yards out. \"The guys worked hard and they really deserved it,\" said Juniata head coach Dan Dubois, who logged his first victory as head coach of the Juniata men\'s soccer program. \"For most of that game, it seemed like there was a lid on that goal, but the guys worked at it and finally broke through.\" Freshman Joe Kohler (Vienna, Va./James Madison) played all 97 minutes in goal for the Eagles, recording four saves. Keystone keeper Wagner was credited with nine saves. Juniata outshot the Giants 18-6 during the game, but Keystone held a 6-2 edge in corner kick opportunities. Keystone was also whistled for offsides on six occasions, compared to five for the Eagles. The win improved Juniata\'s record to 1-2 on the season, heading into a tough stretch of games against Case Western Reserve, McDaniel College, and Carnegie-Mellon. Two of those three games will be at home, beginning with this Saturday\'s battle with Case Western Reserve in a doubleheader with the Juniata women\'s team. The women\'s game will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Winton Hill Field, while the men\'s game will start at approximately 3:30 p.m.
