Huntingdon, Pa. - Senior forward Brandy Preslovich (Bald Eagle Area/Moshannon) was tabbed as the Commonwealth Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the seven-day span ending on Dec. 2.

During the past week, Preslovich became the eighth player in the history of the Juniata College women's basketball to reach 1,000 career points with her effort against Lycoming on Wednesday. She needed 15 points entering the game and tallied 22 during an 11-point win over the Warriors. Preslovich hit 9 of 15 shots from the floor and four of four efforts from the foul line. In addition, she had seven rebounds and three steals.

During a 73-63 loss to Delaware Valley on Saturday, Preslovich posted her second straight 20-point game with 23 markers. She registered a double-double with 10 rebounds as well. Against the Aggies, she was 9 of 21 from the field and five of seven from the line. She also had a steal.

Preslovich finished the week with a team-best 16 points during a 69-58 setback against King's on Sunday. She hit 8 of 14 shots from the floor, pulled down four rebounds and posted two assists and two steals

Overall, she was 26 of 50 (52 percent) from the floor for the week and posted 20.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest.

For the season, Preslovich leads Juniata in scoring (15.8) and rebounding (8.0) average and has knocked down 46 percent of her tries from the field.

The Eagles, who are 1-5 on the year, will be back in action this evening at Messiah for a 7 p.m. outing.
