HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Juniata College men\'s basketball team shot 46.5% from the floor on its way to a 74-48 win over Washington & Jefferson College, to take the championship of the 2007 Mutual Benefit Group \"Doc\" Greene Invitational. Kyle Opitz (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine Richland) led the Eagles with 18 points, including a 3-of-6 effort from beyond the arc and 5-of-9 from the field. Brian Cannon (Fallston, Md./Fallston) finished with 14 points to go with a team-high eight rebounds. Eric Mueseler (Latrobe, Pa./Latrobe) was the only other Juniata player in double-figures with 11 points. Juniata (2-0) held the Presidents to just 30.0% (15-50) shooting from the field, and tallied five blocks - two each by Brent Ferko (Sarver, Pa./Freeport) and Jon Tundel (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley). Washington & Jefferson (1-1) had three players in double-figures, led by Wahab Owolabi and Brian Felker with 12 points each. The Eagles return to action next Saturday, Nov. 24, when they travel to Lancaster, Pa., to face Franklin & Marshall College.
