HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College's victory in the 200 Freestyle Relay, the final event of the day, allowed the Eagles to post a 77-76 victory over Chatham University, in women's swimming action at Juniata's Binder Natatorium in Huntingdon, Pa. The Eagle team of Rachel Gipe (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal), Kelly Serfling (Frederick, Md./Urbana), Kasey Brough (Gardners, Pa./Carlisle West) and Lindsay Cooper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) posted a time of 2:06.89 in the 200 Free Relay, exactly one second better than the better of the two Chatham squads in the event. Swimming in the final home event of her collegiate career, Brough won both the 200 Freestyle (2:25.23) and the 400 Freestyle (5:05.27). Cooper also won a pair of events, the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke in times of 29.63 and 1:25.02 respectively. Serfling rounded out Juniata's individual event winners, capturing the 100 Freestyle in 1:12.78. The Eagles also won the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:23.21. For Chatham, Amy Kuuskoski won a pair of events, the 200 Individual Medley (3:05.24) and the 100 Butterfly (1:18.92). The Juniata swimmers will return to action on February 15-17, when they compete at the Landmark Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. -30-
