HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College senior Andrew Snyder (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney) has been named the Landmark Conference baseball Pitcher of the Week, for the week ending March 23, 2008.

Snyder helped Juniata remain unbeaten in Landmark play with a 3-2 complete game victory over Drew University on Friday, March 21, at Langdon-Goodale Field in Huntingdon. Snyder allowed just two runs, one earned, on six hits over seven innings of work, while striking out four Ranger batters. The win improved Snyder's record to 2-1, and lowered his earned run average to a 6.10 ERA over 20-and-two-thirds innings pitched.

Juniata is currently 8-6 overall, 5-0 in the Landmark Conference, with today's 4-2 win over Oswego State at Langdon-Goodale Field. The Eagles have now won seven in a row since returning from their spring trip with a 1-6 record.

The Eagles return to action on Friday, March 28, when they face Washington & Jefferson College in a doubleheader in Washington, Pa.
