HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- A Native American Okla-Choctaw "wisdom keeper," Rainbow Eagle, will present a workshop at Juniata College. The workshop, "Mother Earth Speaks," is at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, in the Sill Board Room in the von Liebig Center for Science on the Juniata campus.

The workshop is free and open to the public.

Rainbow Eagle's workshop will focus on Native American teachings that can act as models on how to live in balance with others and with the environment.

Rainbow Eagle, whose given name is Rolland Williston, earned a bachelor's degree in 1965 in education and went on to earn a master's degree in 1969 in education, both from Northeastern Oklahoma State University.

He has written the 1996 book "The Universal Peace Shield of Truths: Ancient American Indian Peace Shield Teachings," and is a licensed social worker in Ohio. He presents workshops and lectures throughout the country, including more than 30 Indian reservations.
