HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College senior Matt Booth (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) will compete in the long jump at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which begin on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.

Booth's final provisional qualification mark of 7.10m (23-3 ½) at the Cornell University Big Red Invitational on May 3 was good enough for 14th on the final Division III long jump performance rankings, earning him a trip to the NCAA meet. The top 15 plus ties on the final list of declared long jump performances advance to the NCAA championship; a total of 17 student-athletes will be competing in this year's meet.

The long jump competition will take place in two flights starting at 6:00 p.m. (CT) on Thursday, May 22, with the top nine advancing to the finals.

Booth is coached by Juniata College head coach Jon Cutright, who also serves as a member of the NCAA's Division III Track and Field Committee.
