HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College women's swimming team enjoyed the home pool advantage for the first time in the 2008-09 season, but it was not enough to post a victory as the Eagles dropped a 115-62 decision to Susquehanna University, Wednesday night in Huntingdon, Pa.

Lindsay Cooper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) took first-place points in the 100 Breaststroke (1:27.03), and finished second in the 100 Freestyle (1:05.33). Evan Beatty (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) also finished second in a pair of events, the 800 Freestyle (10:27.33) and the 400 Freestyle (5:00.35).

Junior Colleen Cribbs (Fort Washington, Md./Bishop McNamara) came closest to taking first place in any event, with her effort in the 50 Freestyle. Cribbs finished second with a time of 29.57 seconds, just one one-hundredth of a second behind Susquehanna swimmer Catherine Harris' time of 29.56.

Juniata (0-6) will travel to Madison, N.J., this Friday to face Drew University, before returning to Binder Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 31, to host Penn State-Altoona.
