HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College hit a season-best .404 and junior Zach Wanner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) had a season-high 22 kills to lead the Eagle men's volleyball squad to a 3-1 win over the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), in an EIVA Tait Division matchup in Huntingdon, Pa.

Set scores were 30-21, 27-30, 30-22, and 30-24.

The win is Juniata's third in a row, improving the Eagles to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the EIVA Tait Division. The Eagles will play their next three EIVA Tait matches on the road, interrupted only by a non-conference clash with Stevens at home on Thursday, Feb. 12.

Juniata middle hitter Dan Powers (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) finished the night with 17 kills on 25 swings against only one error, for a .640 attack percentage. Powers also logged three total blocks on the night. Chris Vrooman (Baden, Pa./Ambridge Area) tallied 14 kills with nine digs.

Libero Anthony Damiano (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) turned up 13 digs in the four-set match, with setter Matt Werle (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) set 57 assists.

NJIT (3-3, 0-2 EIVA Tait) also had three players with double-digit kill totals, led by Amobi Armstrong with 19 terminations. Charles Bell had 13 kills, while Glen DeMagalhaes finished with 10 kills and 14 digs.

Juniata returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 11, when it faces St. Francis University in conference action in Loretto, Pa.
