HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Juniata College captured one match in doubles play and one in singles, but could get no closer to Penn State Harrisburg as the Lions downed the Eagles, 7-2, Sunday afternoon in Harrisburg, Pa.

Senior Jarrad Silver (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) and freshman Scott Andrews (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Altoona Area) logged a 9-8 (7-0) win at no. 1 doubles over the Lions' tandem of John Dixon and Thomas Brown.

Freshman Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) posted Juniata's lone singles win, a 6-4, 6-4 decision over Tyler Matisse at no. 3 singles.

Juniata dropped two other singles matches that required a tiebreaker just to get out of the first set. Silver fell in a hard-fought battle at no. 1 singles, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4, while Andrews was downed at no. 4 singles by a 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 count.

Juniata (0-3) will close out its fall slate of matches this Sunday, Sept. 27, when it hosts Lebanon Valley College at noon on the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.
