Juniata women's swimming completes day one at Landmark Championships

KINGS POINT, N.Y. -- The Juniata College women's swimming team had one swimmer reach the finals on day one of competition at the 2010 Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, which began Friday at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
Junior Lindsay Cooper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) reached the finals of the 50 Freestyle, where she finished 11th with a time of 26.53.
In the only other event in which Juniata competed, the Eagles finished seventh in the 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:57.55.
Competition in the Landmark meet continues Saturday and Sunday in Kings Point, N.Y.
