Community Service Students Help Stage Basket Bingo Event

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College students participating in the college's Inbound program will help stage a Basket Bingo event at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 23, in the ballroom of Ellis Hall on the Juniata campus.
The event is a fundraiser to support Mary Alexander Outreach in Mount Union, Pa. Mary Alexander Outreach provides safe housing as well as support services that allow women to become productive members in their community. The group provides fellowship meals, sponsors computer literacy classes, and many other various services for low-income and unemployed residents, as well as the general population.

Bingo participants can pay $18 (or $15 in advance) for 20 games. Major prizes include Longaberger Baskets and Vera Bradley bags. There also will be door prizes for other participants.
Children are welcome at the event and refreshments will be provided. The event will be organized and run by two Inbound classes specializing in community service.
