HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Two Juniata College student-athletes were given the nod for Landmark Conference weekly honors for the week ending October 24, which were announced Monday afternoon.

Junior forward Suzi Lindquist (Richmond, Va./Henrico) was named the Landmark's Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, while senior middle hitter Kristin Noetzel (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) earned the conference's Women's Volleyball Player of the Week award.

Lindquist had the first multi-goal game of her career in Juniata field hockey's 4-1 win over the University of Scranton to complete a second straight undefeated conference regular season. She scored Juniata's first and third goals of the game, giving her four goals this season. Lindquist had scored just once over her first two seasons at Juniata, prior to the start of the 2010 campaign.

Noetzel earned her second Landmark player of the week award this season, as she reached double figures in kills in all four Juniata matches last week â?" including two against opponents ranked among the top five in the AVCA poll. She had 13 kills against both fourth-ranked Emory and fifth-ranked Eastern, and finished with 47 kills (2.94 per set) over all four matches. Noetzel hit .327 for the week, adding 16 digs, 11 blocks, eight aces, and 3.88 points per set.

Juniata field hockey (15-3, 6-0 Landmark) will close out its 2010 regular season on Saturday, Oct. 30, at Oneonta State, before opening the post-season by hosting a Landmark Conference Tournament semifinal on Wednesday, Nov. 3, on Winton Hill Field.

Women's volleyball (26-4, 6-0 Landmark) will wrap up its regular season this weekend at the Wittenberg Invitational in Springfield, Ohio. The Eagles will host the semifinals and final of the Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 6, in the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
