HUNTINGDON Pa. -- Juniata College student-athlete Dan Sekulski (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) earned Landmark Conference Player of the Week honors for his outstanding efforts last week.

The senior guard helped Juniata to a 2-1 week with several strong offensive performances. Sekulski has been the player Juniata turns to in crucial moments. He scored 29 points, with the final two coming on a pair of free throws in the final seconds, in a three-point non-conference win over Lycoming. He went 9-for-9 from the free throw line. He shot 67-percent from the field and scored the 29 points in 28 minutes for the Eagles.

He then added a 23-point effort in a win over Medgar Evers to conclude play in a tournament at Messiah after scoring eight points in the first game of the tourney. Off the second half tip-off, Sekulski came out with the energy that Juniata needed. He single handedly earned four points before the Cougars got to the basket. He averaged 20 points on 60-percent shooting for the week, while also grabbing 13 rebounds, producing four steals and passing out three assists.
