Complete 2011 Landmark Indoor Track & Field Championships results
SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Sophomore Angela Shaffer (Prospect, Pa./Slippery Rock) took first place in a pair of events to lead Juniata College to a third place finish at the 2011 Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The women finished with 101 points, trailing both Moravian College (201.5) and Susquehanna University (121.5). The Juniata coaching staff, led by head coach Jon Cutright, was named Co-Women's Coaching Staff of the Year, while freshman Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) was named the Landmark's women's indoor track rookie of the year.

On the men's side, Juniata tallied 50 points and finished fourth. Moravian (230.25) captured the men's indoor title, followed by Susquehanna (117.5) and the United States Merchant Marine Academy (57).

Shaffer took first in both the 55m hurdles (8.75) and the high jump (5-1 3/4), and finished fourth in the triple jump (33-1 3/4). Lauren Taylor (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) was immediately behind Shaffer in second place in the high jump, with a mark of 4-9 3/4).

Juniata also took first place in the distance medley relay, where the team of Casey Hoffman (Coplay, Pa./Parkland), Mary Howser (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis), Caroline Morgan (Havertown, Pa./Haverford Township), and Megan McQuillan (Severna Park, Md./Seton Keough) posted a Landmark record time of 13:02.25. Hoffman and McQuillan then teamed up with Woods and Alyssa Grube (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) to set another Landmark record in the 4x800m, posting a time of 9:59.50.

Continuing with the relays, Juniata's team of Courtney DeGemmis (Lansdale, Pa./Methacton), Kathryn Brown (Manchester, Mich./Manchester), Erika Brown (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) and Howser were second in the 4x400m (4:29.33).

Also on the track, Jessica Koenig (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) was third in the 5000m run (18:48.03), while Grube was third in the 400m dash (2:26.21). Woods also turned in a third place finish in the mile run (5:20.90), with both the first and second place finishers turning in times to surpass the Landmark record.

For the men, Nick Bauer (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge) won the long jump (21-6 1/4) and was second in the triple jump (42-4 3/4).

Justin Clapper (Buffalo Mills, Pa./Bedford) was third in the weight throw with a mark of 45-5, and Aaron McCoy rounded out the list of top three finishers for the men with a third in the 55m dash (6.63).
