HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College men's volleyball dropped to the fifth spot in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Top 15 Coaches Poll, after tying with New York University for fourth in last weeks poll.

Juniata (15-10) received 185 points in the voting.

New York University (16-7) shot from fourth place last week up to first place in this week's poll, receiving ten first place votes and 230 points. The Violets won four straight games last week, defeating both UC Santa Cruz and Springfield.

Springfield (12-12) received 221 votes for second place, while Nazareth (25-3) followed in third place with three top votes. Carthage (19-10) was awarded one top vote for fourth.

UC Santa Cruz (7-12), Baruch (30-12), Philadelphia Biblical (21-10), Rivier (31-8), and SUNY New Paltz (20-12) rounded out the top ten. MIT (28-6), Medaille (21-5), Stevens (16-11), Emmanuel (26-8), and Vassar (17-11) finished out the poll.

Juniata will be on the road to play Springfield this Friday, Apr. 1, at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles will then travel to NJIT for an EIVA Hay Division match on Saturday, Apr. 2, at 4:00 p.m.
