HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College freshman Nicholas Stubbs (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) has been named the Centennial Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week, for his two returns for touchdown on Saturday against Franklin & Marshall.

Stubbs had both a kick return and a punt return for touchdowns in Juniata's 40-14 loss Saturday to Franklin & Marshall.

His 64-yard punt return for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter was the first by a Juniata player since Matt Eisenberg's 75-yard punt return for a TD against Albright on October 31, 1998.

In the third quarter, Nicholas had a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, which is tied for the third-longest KO return in Juniata history and the longest since Brandon Spayd's 90-yard return against Muhlenberg in 2008.

Stubbs also finished the game with three total tackles on defense, and one pass breakup.

Juniata will host No. 23 Johns Hopkins this Saturday, Oct. 1, as part of Homecoming & Family Weekend celebrations at Juniata College. Kick-off at Knox Stadium is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
