Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College senior setter Carli Dale (Cochranton/Cochranton) and senior outside hitter Erin Wisor (Altoona/Altoona) have both been selected to the 2004 College Division Academic All-District II Volleyball Team. Dale was one of six first-team members on the team, while Wisor was a second-team selection. As a first-team selection, Dale's name will now go on the ballot for the national CoSIDA Academic All-America Volleyball Team which will be announced December 2. The Eagles were the only school to place two players on the team.

Dale is a two-time All-American and will likely earn All-American honors for the third time when the 2004 team is announced. She currently ranks second in Juniata history in career assists, and now ranks in the top-five in NCAA Division III history in career assists. She was chosen as the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year for the second-consecutive season. She has passed out 1574 assists on the year, and also leads the Eagles in digs.

In the classroom Dale has accumulated a 3.843 cumulative grade point average as an accounting major. She is a member of the National Economics and Business Honor Society and has twice been named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll. She was chosen as the team captain by her teammates as both a junior and senior.

Wisor is Juniata's other team captain and has been a solid all-around player for Juniata throughout her career. She ranks third on the Juniata team in kills this season and has pounded out 790 kills for her career. She is fourth on the team in digs this season, and fifth among Eagle players in serve aces. She has bounced back after missing all of last season with an injury and has returned to be a major factor for Juniata.

Wisor has also been a factor as a student as she has a 3.907 cumulative GPA as she pursues a degree in mathematics and secondary education. She's a member of the National Leadership Honor Society and has earned a spot on the Juniata Dean's List each semester of her collegiate career. A two-time choice for the MAC Academic Honor Roll, she is part of the Juniata College Honor Society.

To be eligible for the team an athlete must be of at least sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better and be a starter or significant reserve for their respective teams. The District II College Division consists of all NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA colleges in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
