Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College junior running back Duane J. Ehredt Jr. (Bellwood-Antis/Tyrone) has been selected to the MAC Football Honor Roll for his efforts for the Eagles this past weekend. The conference selects and offensive, defensive and special team's player of the week in football and then selects three additional performers to the honor roll. The honor roll recognition is the first conference honor of his career.

Ehredt Jr. turned in the finest performance of his career as he rushed for a career-high 221 yards in Juniata's conference game against Lebanon Valley. His carries total of 36 was also a career high as he gained 221 yards on the ground and scored a touchdown. The yardage total is the third-highest single-game total in Juniata history, and marks just the fourth time a Juniata back has rushed for 200 or more yards in the history of the Juniata College football program. Ehredt Jr. also caught two passes for career-best 40 yards and another touchdown.

His 221-yard effort against Lebanon Valley gave Ehredt Jr. 374 rushing yards on the season, for an average of 137 yards per game. After missing the first game of the season with an injury, he is averaging 137 rushing yards per game, and 5.1 yards per carry in 2005. He also, after leading Juniata with 690 yards rushing a season ago, brought his career rushing total to 967 yards, now just 33 shy of reaching the 1,000-yard mark. He also stands just 484 rushing yards from moving into the all-time top-10 in Juniata history for career rushing yards. After getting just one carry in his freshman season Ehredt Jr. gained 690 yards on the ground with four rushing touchdowns as a sophomore and ranked sixth in the conference in rushing yards.

Juniata has been unable to earn a victory in its first three games, but will look for the first victory Saturday when the Eagles play at Moravian.
