HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Fans of country, oldies, pop and classic rock songs can hear four talented Juniata College students perform songs in these categories and many others at a pop concert to benefit Huntingdon PRIDE, a local agency.

The concert starts at 8 p.m., Sunday, March 26 in Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $3. Tickets are available for purchase at the door and at the information desk in Ellis Hall.

The Juniata students performing the concert have performed primarily as duos, but all four will sing together in an eclectic concert featuring such cover versions as "Sweet Home Alabama," "Free Fallin'," "Steal My Kisses" and "Roll to Me."

Brittany Barbera, a senior from Bethlehem, Pa., will perform with her singing partner, Lisa Detweiler, a junior from Berwyn, Pa. The duo opened for Michael Gablicki of Rusted Root last fall and performed at the Earth and Folk Festival and the Juniata College Coffeehouse series.

The other performing duo, Brandon Long, a junior from Lebanon, Pa., and Brenton Mitchell, a senior from Boalsburg, Pa, have performed at several Juniata events and throughout the Huntingdon community. The two are scheduled to open for Lifehouse and Vanessa Carlton in April at Millersville University.

"Lisa and I will do about 20 minutes of our material and then Brandon and Brenton will perform about 20 minutes of their material," Barbera says. "The rest of the concert will be devoted to all four of us performing together."

Barbera, who is studying communication and performance art, is producing the concert as part of an independent study project. They also will perform on Huntingdon's PRIDE telethon a 10 p.m., Saturday, March 25.

The four students will be selling CDs of their respective groups, and will be recording their concert for a future CD.
