HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College students studying fine arts and ceramics will exhibit art in a variety of media -- paintings, prints, photographs, ceramics and computer art -- at the Juniata College Museum of Art from Thursday, March 15 to April 7. There is an opening reception at the museum from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 15. The reception and continuing exhibition is free and open to the public. The exhibit will feature more than two dozen works made by Juniata students during the 2006-2007 academic year. The works on display were created in art classes supervised by Monika Malewska, assistant professor of art, Gwendolyn Yoppolo, assistant professor of art and Alexander McBride, professor of art. \"The annual student exhibition features work by students enrolled in Juniata\'s Fine Arts program,\" says Jennifer Streb, assistant professor of art history and a curator at the museum. \"This show is an exciting opportunity for the students to display their work in a museum setting and to showcase that work to both the campus and Huntingdon communities.\" The museum is located in historic Carnegie Hall at 17th and Moore streets in Huntingdon. Museum hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. For more information, please call the museum at (814) 641-3505, or visit the Juniata College Web site at http://www.juniata.edu/museum.
