TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Juniata College senior track and field athlete Randy Anderson (DuBois/DuBois) earned All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships. Anderson ran to a sixth-place finish in the 55-meter dash on the second day of the championships. He covered the 55 meters in a time of 6.46, his fourth fastest time of the season. By placing in the top-eight in the race, Anderson claims the first All-America honors of his career. Eddie Bynum of Salem State College was the national champion in the 55 as he posted a winning time of 6.33. The senior becomes the fourth male Juniata track and field athlete to earn All-America recognition, and the first since the 2002 season. He is the ninth track and field athlete overall from Juniata to capture the honor. Anderson should have a chance to add to his resume in the outdoor season as he is the defending MAC champion in the 100 and holds the Juniata record in both the 100 and 200. He was a provisional NCAA qualifier in the 100 last season, but did not earn a spot at the NCAA Championships. ###
