ITHACA, N.Y. - The Juniata College women\'s volleyball captured its second tournament title of the season, defeating Rochester Institute of Technology, 20th-ranked New York University, and host Ithaca College all by 3-0 scores, to win the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational tournament in Ithaca, N.Y. Amber Thomas (Ephrata, Pa./Conestoga Valley) recorded 36 kills and 24 digs on day two, on her way to earning tournament MVP honors. Thomas was one of four players to record double-digit kill totals in the three-game championship match against Ithaca; Brittany Carr (Titusville, Pa./Titusville) had 15 kills, Paige Johnston (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) finished with 11, and Erin Albert (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) logged 10. Albert and Steph Strauss (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) were named to the All-Tournament team. Strauss was credited with 51 set assists during three matches in the tourney. Megan Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) had 65 digs over the final day\'s three matches, and finished with 102 over the tournament. The Eagles head to St. Louis, Mo., next weekend to face #4 Washington University (Mo.), #3 Wisconsin-Whitewater, and #6 University of La Verne in Washington\'s Teri Clemons Invitational.
