HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Junior Amber Thomas (Ephrata, Pa./Conestoga Valley) racked up 14 kills and Erin Albert (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) chipped in with 12 kills to lead Juniata College past St. Vincent College, 3-0, in women's volleyball action Tuesday night at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center in Huntingdon, Pa. Game scores were 30-16, 30-9, and 30-27. Thomas, Steph Strauss (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) and Megan Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) each tallied 10 digs for the evening. Albert also had four blocks and three service aces to lead Juniata in both categories. For St. Vincent, Jaime Kelly had eight kills, and Natalie Hozak and Diana Petrovich recorded four kills each. Kelly also finished with 11 digs. Rachel Pace and Christa Calgaro each had nine digs. The Eagles, ranked no. 1 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, improve to 17-1 overall with the win, while St. Vincent falls to 13-5. Juniata College returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 29, when they face Eastern University in St. Davids, Pa. -30-
