SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Juniata College men's soccer squad's rally from a two-goal deficit fell just short of the mark as the Eagles dropped a 2-1 decision to Susquehanna University, Wednesday night in Selinsgrove, Pa. Bryan Hess (Hanover, Pa./South Western) scored Juniata's only goal in the 47th minute, when his shot caromed into the Crusader goal off the right post. Jim Robertiello scored both Susquehanna goals, with both coming off assists from Seth Baughman. Robertiello's first goal was in the fourth minute, while the eventually game-winner came in the 10th minute when his shot went upstairs on Eagle keeper Joe Kohler (Vienna, Va./James Madison). Kohler finished the night with 10 saves, while Susquehanna keeper B.J. Merriam tallied eight saves on the night. The Crusaders outshot Juniata 23-13, and had a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks. The Crusaders were also whistled three times for offsides, while Juniata was flagged for offsides once. The Eagles will play their final Landmark Conference regular season road match this Saturday, when they travel to Kings Point, N.Y., to face the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
