SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- The Juniata College women's swimming team battled hard before dropping a 73-60 decision against Susquehanna University, in Landmark Conference swimming action Wednesday night in Selinsgrove, Pa.

Freshman Lindsay Cooper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) had a pair of event wins for the Eagles, capturing the 50 Freestyle in a time of 27.23, then leading a one-two finish in points in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:55.90. Kelly Serfling (Frederick, Md./Urbana) took second-place points in the event with a time of 3:04.11.

Rachel Gipe (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal School) had Juniata's only other individual win, capturing first-place points in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 1:04.14.

Juniata's team of Cooper, Serfling, Gipe, and Kasey Brough (Gardners, Pa./Carlisle West) won the 200 Freestyle Relay in a time of 1:54.28, nearly two seconds better than the time posted by the Susquehanna squad.

Juniata will swim in its only home meet of the season on Saturday, when it hosts Chatham College at 1:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center's Binder Natatorium.
