HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Four Juniata College softball players were ranked among the top 100 players in various statistical categories, when the first edition of NCAA Division III softball national statistical rankings were released this week.

Sophomore pitcher Alyssa Erb (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) is ranked 19th in the nation in earned run average (1.44), and 18th in strikeouts per seven innings (8.0). Erb checks in at 24th nationally in fewest hits allowed per seven innings (5.49), and 60th in fewest walks allowed per seven innings (2.31).

Another Hollidaysburg, Pa., native, Sarah Eckard (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) is ranked 90th in the nation in batting average, with a .433 average through 17 games.

Sophomore Rachel Nagy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) is ranked 65th in Division III in batting average (.444), and registers at 17th in the nation in doubles per game (0.47). She is listed at 44th in the nation in slugging percentage (.741), and 93rd in on base percentage (.492).

Sophomore Stacy Nagy (Millerton, Pa./Troy) is currently 26th in the nation in the "toughest to strikeout" category (56.0).

As a team, Juniata is 72nd in Division III in batting average (.332), 97th in slugging percentage (.445), and 11th in doubles per game (2.18). The Eagles are also 27th in fielding percentage (.966), while Juniata pitchers are 57th in team ERA (2.11). All statistics are as of Sunday, March 30.

Juniata is currently 11-10 overall, 1-3 in the Landmark Conference, heading into a league doubleheader at Moravian College on Saturday, April 5.
