Eagle women's tennis upended by Penn State-Behrend

ERIE, Pa. -- Juniata College split its six singles matches with Penn State-Behrend but dropped two of the three doubles, and fell to the Lions 5-4 in collegiate women's tennis on Thursday evening in Erie, Pa. The Eagles' Lauren Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) and Maggie Wolenter (Audubon, N.J./Audubon) posted an 8-5 win at #1 doubles, but the Lions pulled out victories at both #2 and #3 doubles. Wolenter logged a 6-2, 1-6, 13-11 victory over Penn State-Behrend's Christy Calvert at #1 singles, and was the lone Juniata competitor to pick up two wins on the day. Laura Gregory (Morrisonville, N.Y./Seton Catholic Central) registered a 6-1, 6-0 win at #4 singles over Amy Brem, and Katie Kline (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) posted a 7-5, 6-1 win at #5 singles. Juniata returns to competition in the Landmark Conference loop on Saturday, April 5, when it travels to Washington, D.C., to face Catholic University.
