HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- There wasn't much drama in this one, but it may have been exactly what a youthful Juniata College women's basketball team needed.

All 14 Eagle players on the roster saw the floor and 11 contributed offensively as Juniata pounded Penn State Altoona, 75-47, Tuesday night in Huntingdon, Pa.

Juniata (2-3) controlled the pace from the outset, and built a double-digit lead mark by the 9:28 mark of the first half following Gina Piccolini's (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) three-pointer to give the Eagles a 16-6 lead.

That margin reached 21 points, 34-13, on Emily Hauser's (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) trey with just under three minutes left in the opening frame, capping a 14-4 Eagle run.

Kelly Ashcraft (Bellefonte, Pa./State College) led the Eagles with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor, and a 4-of-5 mark from the free-throw line. Claudia McDowell (Alexandria, Pa./Juniata Valley) tallied 11 points. Freshman point guard Ashley Bankos (York, Pa./York Catholic) dished out three assists with three steals while scoring six points; Kelly Rotan (Atco, N.J./Hammonton) also logged three assists and three steals while pulling down eight boards.

Penn State Altoona (0-3) was paced by Ashley Helsel with 12 points, with Courtney Caroll adding nine points.

Juniata remains at home through the Thanksgiving break, and will host Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 2:00 p.m. in Huntingdon, Pa.
