TOWSON, Md. -- Sophomore Jen Hnatuck's (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) sixth double-double of the season helped lead Juniata College to a 74-57 rout of Goucher College, in a Landmark Conference women's basketball matchup on Sunday afternoon in Towson, Md.

Hnatuck scored 16 points while pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds, recording her second double-double over the last three games. First year Brittany Ryder (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) led the Eagles with 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field, part of Juniata's team shooting performance of 52.6% (30-57) from the floor.

Juniata (12-10, 6-5 Landmark) dominated the contest from the outset, opening with a 15-0 run. Goucher finally got on the board at the 14:49 mark of the half on an Amber Smith foul shot, but the Eagles' lead reached 19-1 with back-to-back layups by Hnatuck.

The Eagles had a 40-25 lead at the intermission, and still had a 14-point lead with 13:48 left in the game following a three-pointer by Meagan Raville (McSherrystown, Pa./Delone Catholic).

Goucher began to scrap its way back into the contest with an 11-2 run, cutting the Juniata lead to 53-48 with 9:52 to play. However that would be as close as the Gophers would get, as a 6-0 Eagle run stretched Juniata's lead back into double-digits, 59-48, with 7:34 showing.

Goucher (5-15, 1-10 Landmark) had three players in double figures, led by Amber Smith with 18 points to go with 10 rebounds. Kelsey Myette tacked on 12 points, while Elizabeth von Ende chipped in with 10.

Juniata returns to Huntingdon for its final three games of the 2008-09 regular season, starting with a Saturday night clash with Drew University on February 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
