HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College men's tennis team made a dent in Frostburg State with a point in doubles play, but could only take two of the six singles matches and dropped a 6-3 decision to the visiting Bobcats, Wednesday afternoon on the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.

The Juniata tandem of Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) and Alden Hiller (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) had the lone Eagle win in doubles, with an 8-4 victory over Frostburg's Josh Galvez and Christian Ernst at no. 3 doubles.

Morey went on to post a straight set win over the Bobcats' Eddie McMurtrie at no. 3 singles, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). Juniata's other win in singles competition came at no. 5 singles, where Andrew Hoffman (Blain, Pa./Susquehanna Township) come from behind to notch a 6-7 (3-7), 6-3, 10-6 win over Galvez.

Juniata (0-2) will return to the courts this Sunday, Sept. 20, when both the men's and women's teams will face Penn State-Harrisburg at 12:00 p.m. in Harrisburg. The Eagles close out the fall portion of their 2009-10 slate on Sunday, Sept. 27, when they host Lebanon Valley College starting at 12:00 p.m.
