Senior Andrew Hepner's (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) overtime goal improved Juniata College men's soccer Landmark Conference record to 1-1 Saturday at Winton Hill Field with a 2-1 win against Goucher College.

Hepner's game winner came in the 93rd minute of play off senior Aaron Bray's (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) corner kick. Hepner's blast came from 18 yards out after Bray's short pass.

After a scoreless first half, Juniata put numbers on the board first with senior Drew Steffen's (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Lanc) 65th minute goal on a penalty kick.

Goucher responded just minutes later with a goal from Jay Berger. Berger's shot was assisted by Andrew Bull's header. Juniata goalkeeper Joe Kohler recorded six saves for the day, but couldn't catch Berger's which came at the end of a three shot sequence.

The Gophers outshot Juniata 16-4 and held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks. The Eagles have already matched their wins from the 2008 season.

Juniata will return to action this Tuesday, September 29th when they take on Grove City at Winton Hill Field at 4 p.m.
