HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Alex Ford's goal in the 78th minute proved to be the difference as Grove City beat Juniata College 1-0 in men's soccer action Tuesday afternoon at Winton Hill Field.

Leaving the first half scoreless, the two teams battled evenly until Ford broke through Juniata's defense to put the Wolverines on the scoreboard. The goal was assisted by Brian Eckenhoff.

Juniata's Brian Trinclisti (Lewistown, Pa./Lewistown) saw all 90 minutes in goal and recorded five saves, improving his save percentage to .733. Wolverine Sean Osborne recorded three saves in his 90 minutes of playtime.

Both teams recorded 11 shots but Juniata held an 8-7 advantage in corner kicks.

The Eagles will return to action this Saturday, October 3rd, at 3:30 p.m. when they will travel to Moravian for their third conference game of the 2009 season.
