HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College women's volleyball and field hockey teams remained among the ranked teams in Division III, when their respective polls were issued on Tuesday.

Women's volleyball (11-1) held at second in the AVCA Division III Coaches Top 25 Poll with 576 points. The Eagles continue to trail Washington-St. Louis with 600 points and all 24 first-place votes, after the Bears defeated Juniata this past Saturday at the DePauw Invitational.

Trailing Juniata is Emory (545 pts.) in third place, followed by Wittenberg (534 pts.) and Wisconsin-Whitewater (471 pts.). Eastern University (439 pts.), whom Juniata will face on Friday night, is sixth, followed by Colorado College (428 pts.), Christopher Newport (413 pts.), Calvin (404 pts.) and Wisconsin-Oshkosh (372 pts.).

Field hockey (4-3) fell from 18th to 20th in Tuesday's NFHCA Division III National Coaches Poll, despite winning their only contest last week â?" a 3-0 shutout over Delaware Valley College. Juniata has 100 points in the poll, and were joined by another Landmark Conference program; Catholic University debuted in the poll in 16th place with 225 points.
