HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College junior Meghan McGlone (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) continues to accumulate more awards as she was named to the 2010 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-American Second Team, announced November 22.

She earned a First Team selection to the 2010 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All South Atlantic Region before being selected as an All-American.

MgGlone played another solid year of defense for the Eagles. She had a crucial defensive save in game against The College of Wooster in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.

She helped lead the Eagles to their 18-5 record, fourth consecutive Landmark Conference Championship and an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.

Last year she earned Defensive Player of the Year in the Landmark Conference as well as a repeat first team honoree. As a sophomore she earned a spot on the 2009 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All South Atlantic Region First Team before being voted as an All American.

In addition to being a part of the first team in her rookie season, McGlone helped Juniata earn back-to-back Rookie of the Year Awards when she won in it in 2008.

Bowdoin College claimed the Championship title in two overtime periods in penalty strokes over Messiah College. It was the third title for the Polar Bear's field hockey program.
