HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College senior Jen Hnatuck (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) earned Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Monday, due to her efforts that helped the Eagles win the Landmark Conference Championship.

Hnatuck averaged a team-high 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds while helping Juniata to its first Landmark Championship in program history. She scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season in the championship game against the University of Scranton, which moved her into third place among Juniata career rebounding leaders.

Hnatucks record worthy rebounding efforts versus Scranton came after a 15-point, seven-rebound effort in the semifinal win over Catholic.

She was nearly automatic at the foul line over the two games, shooting 87-percent (13-of-15) while also adding three assists, a block, and a steal.

The senior leads the team in scoring with 335 points, averaging 12.4 per game. She has started all 27 games of the season, and is second on the team for rebounds with 223, averaging 8.3 per game.

Juniata earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship. The full results of the 64 teams in the tournament will be announced Monday, Feb. 28, at 3:00 p.m.
