ALTOONA, Pa. -- Penn State Altoona scored on three of its first five shots taken at the Juniata College goal on its way to a 5-0 victory over the Eagles, in women's soccer action Tuesday night at Spring Run Stadium in Altoona.

Juniata (3-3-1) was outshot 11-2 in the loss, with senior Nikki Hankinson (New Baltimore, Pa./Berlin Brothersvalley) recording the lone shot on goal. Penn State Altoona (4-3-1) also carried a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks out of the contest.

The Lions scored their first goal in the game's sixth minute, when Laura Myers beat Juniata keeper Gabriella Ricciardi (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) off a pass from Elizabeth Watt. Meredith Barcia and Allysia Ketchem added markers in the 28th and 31st minutes, and Danika Mull added a pair of goals before the end of the first half.

Ricciardi was lifted in the 37th minute in favor of backup keeper Elaina Robins (York, Pa./York Suburban), who played the final 53 minutes and recorded two saves.

Penn State Altoona keeper Lindsay Raspanti played all 90 minutes in the Lions' goal, making one save.

Juniata will return to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 24, when the Eagles host Saint Vincent College in a make-up contest that was originally scheduled for September 7.
