Complete women's results, 2011 DeSales Cross Country Invitational

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Juniata College sophomore Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) finished 15th out of 424 competitors to lead the Eagles to a 17th place finish overall at Saturday's DeSales University Cross Country Invitational.

Woods logged a time of 24:34.72 over the 6000m course, while teammate Caroline Morgan (Havertown, Pa./Haverford Township) was 29th overall with a time of 24:53.12. Morgan and Woods were the only Juniata runners to place among the top 100 in the event.

Freshman Courtney Peterson (York, Pa./Central York) was 153rd with a time of 27:20.15, with senior Casey Hoffman (Coplay, Pa./Parkland) trailing not far behind in 163rd place with a mark of 27:27.46. Freshman Alyssa Cousins posted a time of 28:08.76 and finished 202nd.

The Juniata men's team had the weekend off.

Both teams will return to action next Saturday, Oct. 15, when they compete at the Gettysburg Invitational.
