HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The L.A. Beeghly Library at Juniata College recently was awarded a $38, 585 grant, to fund the purchase of 20 desktop computers, six laptop computers and a data projector, by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

The computers and associated equipment will be used for student library research, as well as for the library?s Information Literacy Program and for the college?s Writing Center. The Information Literacy program is used by all Juniata students, as well as students from Huntingdon Area High School and the Du Bois Business College.


The grant is a Library Services and Technology grant, which is funded by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services. Julie Woodling, instruction librarian, and Carol Peters, director of the Writing Center, wrote the proposal.
