Submission Process

The deadline for the notice of intent is February 26th. The deadline for submission of the abstract is April 2nd.

The submission process includes a notice of intent to participate in the symposium, followed by the submission of a formal abstract. The notice of intent will include some basic information and the title of your project. To submit your notice of intent, students should follow this link, and complete the appropriate information. Upon submission, you and your sponsor will receive an email notifying you the information has been accepted. At a later time, students will receive an email prompt containing the appropriate link to submit their abstract.

The Symposium has two categories in which students may present their work. Students may either do an oral presentation or a poster/exhibition presentation. The number of oral presentations we can accommodate is limited. As such, some presenters who request to do an oral presentation may be asked to do a poster instead. Oral presentations should be 10 minutes in length with an additional 5 minutes available for questions. All presentations should be geared to a general audience and all presenters will receive feedback about their presentation. For poster information, follow this link.

If you have problems completing the proposal form or have questions regarding the symposium, email Susan Pierotti(pierotti), Barb Williams(williaba) or Dennis Johnson(johnson).
