Rylan's Bio
- BA, Human Communication Studies, Shippensburg University
- Joined Juniata staff in 2011
Rylan was raised in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. In May 2010, he graduated magna cum laude from Shippensburg University with a degree in Human Communication Studies. While at Shippensburg, Rylan was involved with S.T.A.R.S. (Student Tour Guides and Admission Representative), Orientation Team, Christian Fellowship, and the College of Arts and Sciences Student Advisory Board. He served as the President of Lambda Pi Eta, co-chairperson of the High School Visitation Program, and founded his own student organization, Love247 (Love247 exists to raise awareness about depression, suicide, self-injury, and addiction.) In his free time, Rylan loves fashion, playing ultimate frisbee, going to concerts, eating at restaurants that have been on national television, and going on road trips with friends.
He began working at Juniata College in June of 2011, starting his second year in the admissions field. He serves as the personal Admission Counselor for the Eastern part of New York state (New York City, Long Island, Poughkeepsie, Albany, and surrounding areas) and pockets of Central Pennsylvania (Berwick, Harrisburg, Shamokin, and surrounding areas). Rylan oversees all social media initiatives in the Enrollment Center and serves as the Yellow Ribbon Program liason. He’s looking forward to meeting students on the road and helping them through the college search process!
