Thinking about visiting Juniata? Great! There are many different opportunities to visit now and throughout the year. Register to attend one of our Open Houses or Department Days or schedule a weekday or Saturday visit. Take a tour of our campus, attend an admission information session and get to know Juniata. High school seniors and transfers may also request to meet with faculty, have lunch with a student, meet with financial planning, attend a class and talk with varsity coaches. Open Houses and Department Days

Get to know Juniata by participating in one of our extensive open house or department day programs. When scheduling to attend one of these events, please plan to spend approximately 5 hours with us. For details about the activities we have planned for each event and to register online, click on the event of your choice below. Please register for our Open Houses or Department Days a minimum of one week in advance. Space is limited and registration closes one week before each event so register now!

October Open House
Monday, October 13, 2014, 8:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Observe class • take a campus tour • meet with faculty • attend admission and financial planning information sessions • participate in a student panel • experience our dining facility while joining Juniata students for lunch • optional activities include meeting with athletic coaches, attending a music information session or touring our off-campus environmental field station

The Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Department Day
Friday, November 7, 2014, 8:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Enjoy a reception with faculty from the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences • observe class • eat lunch with Juniata students who are studying in your academic program • meet with faculty from your specific academic area of interest • participate in a special activity highlighting experiential learning (may include visiting off-campus facilities) • attend admission and financial planning information sessions • take a campus tour • optional activities may include meeting with athletic coaches, instrumental and vocal instructors

November Open House
Saturday, November 15, 2014, 8:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Take a campus tour • meet with faculty in your primary academic area of interest • attend admission and financial planning information sessions • participate in a student panel • experience our dining facility while joining Juniata students for lunch • attend the academic expo to chat with faculty from all of our departments • optional activities include attending an athletic information session with student athletes, a music information session or touring our off-campus environmental field station

Weekday Visit

Visiting Juniata when we are in full-swing is a great way to discover whether we are the right fit for you. Schedule a campus tour led by a student and arrange to participate in an Admission Information Session led by an Admission Counselor. Participation in an Admission Information Session provides you with evidence about what makes Juniata distinctive, materials about how to apply for admission, news about our scholarship and financial aid programs and time for Q and A. Because we want to get to know you better, weekday information sessions are capped at 8 families and are scheduled at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours are offered on the hour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. When scheduling a weekday visit, plan to spend a minimum of two hours with us. High school seniors and transfers may also request to observe a class, meet with faculty and athletic coaches, eat lunch with a Juniata student and schedule an admission interview. Please provide a one week notice so we are adequately staffed to accommodate your visit.


Weekday visits begin on September 8 and continue through the academic year. We are closed during final exams, holidays and breaks. Guests requesting to schedule a weekday visit during an open house or department day event, will be encouraged to register for the event or schedule their visit for another time. If you would like to talk with our Campus Visit Coordinator before scheduling online, call Pam Zilch at 814-641-3428, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Saturday Visit

Sometimes a Saturday is a more convenient time for prospective students and their families to visit our campus and check out beautiful Central Pennsylvania. Schedule a campus tour led by a student and arrange to participate in an Admission Information Session led by an Admission Counselor. Participation in an Admission Information Session provides you with evidence about what makes Juniata distinctive, materials about how to apply for admission, news about our scholarship and financial aid programs and time for Q and A. Information sessions are scheduled at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. and tours are offered at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. When scheduling a Saturday visit, plan to spend two hours with us. Please provide a one week notice so we are adequately staffed to accommodate your visit.


Saturday visits begin September 6 and continue through the academic year. We are closed during final exams, holidays and breaks. Guests requesting to schedule a Saturday visit during an open house will be encouraged to register for the open house or schedule their visit for another time. Personal Overnight Visit

Juniata is happy to host prospective high school seniors and transfers interested in immersing themselves in the Juniata community for the purpose of deciding between the top colleges of their choice. Observe classes, enjoy meals in our dining facility, stay overnight in one of our residence halls with a Juniata student host, meet with faculty, coaches, club members as well as other members of the Juniata community. Spend time investigating your specialty interests and live the life of a Juniata student for 24 hours. Overnight accommodations in a residence hall are provided for one evening on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night and all meals are complimentary. Overnight visits are arranged for high school seniors and transfers only and must be scheduled by phone. To arrange your overnight visit contact our Campus Visit Coordinator, Pam Zilch, at 814-641-3428 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please provide a two week notice so you have adequate time to arrange your travel plans and we have adequate time to put together an excellent personalized schedule. We begin hosting overnight visitors on Sunday, September 28 through Thursday, April 23. We are closed during final exams, holidays and breaks. If you need overnight accommodations for longer than the allotted one night in a college residence hall, please call Pam Zilch about staying in one of our local hotels. Groups Visiting Campus

Juniata is happy to host groups interested in seeing our campus and learning more about the enrollment process. Come and take a student-guided campus tour and attend an Admission Information Session led by one of our Admission Counselors. We accommodate chaperoned prospective student groups up to 50 in size Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Group information sessions are offered at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and group tours are offered at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and.
